Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony

The Town of Westport will be holding a Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony to honor America's fallen heroes.

The ceremony will start at 10 AM at the Town Hall Annex Gym to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

The ceremony will feature the playing of the National Anthem and TAPS by the Westport Jr/Sr High School band; reading of the Governor's Proclamation, a tribute poem, and the names of Westport's veterans who passed away between May 2020 and April 2021; remarks from the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Westport Board of Selectmen; a keynote speech by David Fontaine, a Gold Star brother of Normand Fontaine, who died while serving in Vietnam; and bagpipes by Sam Manley.

Refreshments will follow the ceremony.
