Agenda Request Guideline

BOARD OF HEALTH - AGENDA REQUEST GUIDELINES 

Any resident, contractor or member of the general public can request to be placed on the BOH Agenda.  The request must be accompanied by all supporting materials or a full and specific description of the item to be addressed.

Applicants looking to have a hearing for a proposed septic plan, new stable permit, and new large piggeries must submit a complete application that will consist of all plans, documents, forms & application fees. The application will be reviewed for completeness and, in the event that such application is incomplete, The Board of Health office staff shall notify the applicant of the incomplete items which may delay placement on the meeting agenda.

The deadline to submit any requests is no later than 4:00PM on the Tuesday prior to the BOH’s Monday meeting date. Any requests received after this time will be placed on the next scheduled meeting agenda (meetings are held bi-weekly and on Mondays, unless a holiday falls on Monday, then the Board reserves the right to meet on Tuesday). Should the meeting fall on a Tuesday, the deadline for submission of requests will remain the same.

No exceptions will be allowed unless an extenuating circumstance occurs and permission is received from the Chairman or Vice-Chairman.
