5. ADA TRANSITION TEAM: Significant progress has been
made thanks to the efforts of several people including
our own Martin Costa.
6. BILLS 1180 AND S753 RE: PREVENTING DISCRIMINATION
AGAINST PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. Letters were sent
to Representative Schmid and Senator Rodrigues.
7. WHITE CANE AWARENESS DAY CELEBRATION 10/13/23
AT MA STATEHOUSE GREAT HALL 11:00-1:00. Helps raise
awareness off the White Cane Law in MA which requires
drivers to identify and yield to pedestrians using a white
cane or guide dog at street crossings.
8. THOUGHTS/CONCERNS/SUGGESTIONS: ANY PROJECTS
WHERE WE SHOULD CONSIDER DONATING WCOD
FUNDS.
