  • February: Manton Community Room: "Route 66: A Piece of American History"  Photographer, Richard Perry, shares an exhibit of his travels along our famous highway.

  • Story Hour continues on Tuesdays from 10-10:45 a.m. for children age 3 and up.
  •  Lap-Sit continues on Wednesdays from 10-10:45 a.m. for those under age 3 and their caregiver.

Each program consists of several stories, songs, fingerplays, puppets and rhythm instruments followed by a take-home craft for Story Hour children, and free play to conclude each program. Registration is necessary. Please drop by the library, or call 508-636-1100 to sign up.

  • Read to Rosie, a certified therapy dog on Saturday, March 18th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Sign up for a 10-minute slot by calling the library at 508-636-1100.
  • Looking for something to do during school vacation week?  Come to the library's Makerspace Workshop led by Arthur and Peter Evans on Tuesday, February 21st from 2-4 p.m. If you are age 8 to 80 you are welcome to register to learn how to design objects using 3D Design Software. All participants get their 3D creation printed. Learn programming & play with Sphero Spark-more than just a robot, or program the Ozobots. Try 3D carving of a wooden box, nameplate, or flyable airplane using the CNC machine. There is something for everyone. Who doesn't want to learn how to make balloon creations. Hope you can join us! 
  • Thursday, February 23rd, from 6-8:15 p.m. drop-in with your favorite game. We are hosting another Family Game Night. Want to learn how to play Cribbage? We will have a wonderful teacher on hand that evening.
  • The Watershed Alliance will be on hand to present a children's workshop on sand and shells with a fun art project. Friday, February 24th from 11 to noon.
  • The Westport Library Book Club meets Friday, March 10th at 10:30 a.m. Submission by Michael Houellebecq will be shared. Join our lively discussion. New members are welcome.
