Audit Committee
The Audit Committee was created at Town Meeting on May 7, 2019. The committee consists of five members with three-year terms that were initially varied to achieve a staggering of term expirations.
The committee is appointed by the Select Board and three members will be from the Select Board, the Finance Committee and the School Committee. The remaining two members will be At-Large.
The function of the Audit Committee is to work with the Town Auditor to review the Town’s financial statements and review internal financial controls. The Audit Committee makes recommendations with respect to the Town’s financial management practices and controls and reports any recommendations to the Select Board.
