FY 2010 Real Estate 4th Quarter Bills ARE DUE May 3, 2010

Payments may be made on-line through e-bill (.35 cent per transaction fee applies), in person at the collectors' office, or by mail.  Checks are to be made payable to Town of Westport. 

Please send in remit copy of bill with payment when mailing in payment.

When paying a late bill please call our office for interest figures. 

*MOTOR VEHICLE EXCISE BILLS - DUE APRIL 21, 2010.  *Any bill not paid timely is subject to a $10 demand and 12% per annum interest.  If you did not receive your bill, please contact the collector's office at 508-636-1010 as we do have some bills that returned due to incorrect addresses.  Failure to receive your bill does not affect the validity of the bill.  Demand bills unpaid after 14 days are subject warrants adding substantial charges and fees and could end up being "marked" at the registry for non-payment after the warrant process.

*BOAT EXCISE BILLS - DUE APRIL 30, 2010.*  Any boat excise bill not paid timely is subject to a penalty of $20 or 20% of the bill, whichever is greater, a $10 penalty, and interest of 12% per annum. Unpaid bills after the demand bill are subject to the warrant process, adding additional charges and fees.  Again, we had had some bills returned undeliverable and failure to receive bills does not affect the validity of the bill.  Please contact the office if you did not receive your bill.  508-636-1010.

*4TH QUARTER REAL ESTATE & PERSONAL PROPERTY BILLS - DUE MAY 3, 2010.  *Interest is due at 14% immediately after due date.  There is no grace period.  A $10 demand bill will be issued as soon as May 18th on any unpaid bill.

*WATER BILLS - DUE MAY 3RD.  *Water bills are now being sent quarterly.  Unpaid water bills are subject to a 10% penalty.  Any water bills remaining upaid will be added to the actual Real Estate bill in December for collection.

*UNPAID FISCAL 2009 REAL ESTATE BILLS WILL BE ADVERTISED FOR NON-PAYMENT IN MAY.*  THIS WILL BE DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE MAY 3rd DEADLINE.  PAYMENT IN FULL WILL ELIMINATE THIS PROCESS.  PLEASE CONTACT THE COLLECTOR'S OFFICE FOR TOTAL AMOUNT DUE BEFORE SENDING IN PAYMENT.

*Our office is open 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday.  The Collector & Town Clerk are open the first Monday of each month from 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. 508-636-1010.*
