The Annual Town Meeting  conconcluded last night, May4, 2006.

 Wednesday night voters dealt with articles 7-36. One highlight was the approval of the proposed new fire and police complex (see article 34). The meeting also appropriated $14 million for this. However, the item and funds must now go to a special town election for approval. The date for that election has not been set.

You must be a registered voter of the Town, a department head or invited guest speaker in order to attend.  Anyone else wishing to attend Town Meeting must receive special permission from the Moderator.

Annual Town Election:  Tuesday, April 11, 2006_

Deadline for obtaining Nomination Papers is:  Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 4 p.m from the Town Clerk's Office.  Nomination Papers require the signatures of at least fifty (50) registered voters of the Town.

Nomination Papers must be turned in to the Board of Registrar's for certification by 5 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2006 and returned to the Clerk's Office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006.

Last day to Register to vote for the Town Election and Annual Town Meeting is Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 8 p.m.
