PART-TIME RECORDING CLERK

 

The Westport Planning Board is accepting applications for a qualified part-time clerk to record and type minutes of meetings. 

Up to 8 hours per meeting; will be responsible for attending Planning Board evening meetings as assigned and transcribing and preparing meeting minutes.  


Pay is as follows:

FY'13 $14.36-15.96 per hour

FY'14 $14.65-16.28 per hour

RECORDING CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Definition of Duties:

Incumbent will be responsible for attending Planning Board

evening meetings as assigned

and transcribe/prepare meeting minutes

and will submit a completed draft of minutes

by Friday following each meeting.

 

Supervision

Reports to Town Planner, Assistant Planner

and /or Planning Board.

 

Hours:  Up to 8 hours a meeting.

 

Qualifications:    

Excellent communication, word processing

and transcription skills.  Prior municipal office

experience highly desirable.

 

Pay Rate:  (FY13)  15.96/hr;  (FY 14) $16.28/hr.

COUNCIL ON AGING DIRECTOR

 The Town of Westport is seeking applications for the position of Director for the Council on Aging. 

This position provides leadership and staff supervision to a busy Council on Aging and Senior Center in a rural Massachusetts town. Experience with grant writing, budget preparation and excellent organizational skills required. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines

and be flexible in a fast paced environment also necessary. Minimum BA/BS in human services, psychology, social work or gerontology,

plus three years working with senior population.

LIFEGUARD POSITIONS

SUMMER ONLY

 Full time and part-time lifeguards. 

CPR and Senior Lifesaving Certification required. 

W.S.I. preferred.  Must be 18 years of age or older.

COUNCIL ON AGING

 The Town of Westport Council on Aging is looking to fill the following positions: 


Social Day Care Aide – Assists the Social Day Program Director and Assistant Director in maintaining a safe, caring and nurturing environment for clients enrolled in the Social Day Care program.  19¾ hours per week.

Pay range: $10.11 - $11.23. 


Volunteer Coordinator - Supervisory work, which includes planning, recruiting, training and evaluating of volunteers.  19¾ hours per week. 

Pay range: $$12.05 - $13.39.

REQUIREMENTS:  BS/BA IN

MANAGEMENT/ENGINEERING IS DESIRED.


MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE INSPECTION CODES INCLUDING ZONING AND EXPERIENCE AS A BUILDER.


CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  BOCA / BBRS / CABO.


SALARY RANGE:  $58,185.00 - $64,650.00
